As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Content Research Creator.
Department Overview

AIS is seeking a Content Research Creator to support the launch of our new portal by creating, organizing, and uploading high-quality content while ensuring accuracy and consistency across the platform. The ideal candidate will also bring strong organizational management skills, research, and training experience to help guide users, support adoption, and maintain well-structured content processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on defense-related topics, policies, programs, and emerging issues

  • Analyze primary and secondary sources, including government publications, academic research, and operational data

  • Develop clear, accurate, and well-structured content such as reports, briefs, background papers, talking points, and digital content

  • Translate complex technical or policy information into accessible content for diverse audiences

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, program managers, and public affairs or strategic communications teams

  • Ensure all content complies with DoD style guides, classification rules, and information security requirements

  • Maintain documentation of sources and research methodologies for auditability and review

  • Support content updates and revisions based on policy changes, leadership guidance, or mission needs

Required For This Opportunity
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Political Science, International Relations, Defense Studies, related field, or qualified job experience over the past 10-15 years.

  • Demonstrated experience in research, writing, and website content development

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and synthesis skills

  • Excellent written communication skills with attention to accuracy and detail

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Nice to Have Skills
  • Proven ability in learning new technologies, such as websites, and creating content for such tools

  • Prior experience supporting the Department of Defense or other federal agencies

  • Familiarity with DoD organizational structure, terminology, and mission sets

  • Experience working with sensitive materials and secure research environments

  • Knowledge of federal information dissemination, public affairs, or strategic communications practices

  • Experience operating within an agile scrum team and tempo

At AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member. The targeted base salary range for this role is $88,000-$134,000 per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location. We value transparency in our hiring process and are happy to discuss how your unique qualifications align with our compensation structure during the interview process.
