The New York City Department of Investigation (DOI) is one of the oldest law enforcement agencies in the country; its mission is to combat municipal corruption. DOI serves the people of New York City by acting as an independent and nonpartisan watchdog for New York City government, City agencies, and City employees, vendors with City contracts, individuals and entities that receive City funds. Minimum Qualifications (1) A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, including or supplemented by twenty-four (24) semester credits in computer science or a related computer field and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time software experience in designing, programming, debugging, maintaining, implementing, and enhancing computer software applications, systems programming, systems analysis and design, data communication software, or database design and programming, including one year in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project; or Preferred Skills
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. -5+ years of experience in SharePoint development (SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server). -Strong knowledge of SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Automate, Power Apps, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and REST APIs. -Experience managing SharePoint environments, including permissions, governance, and site administration. -Proven leadership or project management experience. -Strong understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and integration capabilities. -Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skill -Knowledge of accessibility standards -Ability to identify accessibility issues and develop effective solutions -Strong skills to advocate for accessibility and collaborate with cross-functional teams -Experience with Azure services or DevOps for SharePoint. -Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, React (for SPFx), and responsive design -Advanced skills in Power Automate and Power Apps for automating business processes. -Ability to connect SharePoint to SQL databases, APIs, and external systems. -Background in digital transformation or change management initiatives. -Knowledge of digital accessibility standards and assistive technology -Professional certifications, such as the CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies) or WAS (Web Accessibility Specialist), can be beneficial but not required.
