What We Offer

The Supervisor Manufacturing III manages shift or day shift operation and synergizes the team by instruction, assignment and leading to run the production facility in a safe, reliable and efficient way.

Major Responsibilities

  • Supervising, motivating and giving direction to Production Department technicians assigned to the shift (approximately 15 Direct reports and 11 Production Lines).

  • Supervision of the support department technicians working weekends and night shifts

  • Responsible for the safety, security and production of all those supervised.

  • Optimize the manufacturing process to reach department goals of improved quality, yield, right-the-first-time, stream time and reduced waste.

  • Accountable for department work activities being performed such as processing history, material transfers, modify work and overtime schedules, nonconforming quality, and supply inventories.

  • Responsible for the administration of department technician performance evaluations and verifying employee payroll information.

  • Training of new and present technicians in operations.

  • Coordinate efforts to maintain the hazardous materials waste storage pad in compliance with EPA regulations.

  • Responsible for safety inspections and technician safety meetings conducted in the department.

  • Documentation and follow-up of equipment repair orders.

  • Facility first responder, certified to administer first aid and CPR.

  • Ability to query SAP database for run sheets, recipes, schedules and inventory.

  • Participate in Complaint and Incident Resolutions and determine actions to prevent root cause issues from reoccurring.

  • Technical expert for shifts in respective units

  • Continuous monitoring of process operation to maintain safety and reliability and optimize yield and throughput

  • Project support as unit expert

  • Internal communication and information on changes in operations including operating procedures and night instructions;

  • Subject matter expert for unit process safety

  • Provide planning and instructions for preparation needed for maintenance, project, and shutdown activities

  • Expert support for unit process safety

What You Offer

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 11 years of experience in manufacturing OR;

  • Associate degree and at least 6 years of experience in manufacturing OR;

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing

  • 5 years of experience in plastics compounding

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior supervisory experience

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Mechanical comprehension and aptitude

  • Ability to motivate and direct

  • Labor relations, safety and organization

  • SAP System for PI sheet, Run setup, Data collection, Pigment weighments, warehouse inventories finished goods, MROs, and Formulations

  • ADP System

  • Red Ball SOP, Safety IIMS incident actions, Production Procedures, COAs, Order Raw Materials via SAP.

  • ILIMS, Label print, Wonderware Systems.
