The Unit Clerk assists with clerical and receptionist duties at the front desk. Working under close supervision, this role greets patients and visitors, prepares paperwork, and maintains patient medical records. Essential Job Function Supports the maintenance of inventory by ordering supplies as they run low in order to ensure proper stores for daily operations. Answers the telephone and relays messages to the appropriate department or person to connect people with appropriate resources. Assists with the communication of requested test results and medical images in order to support the delivery of information in the hospital system. Helps patients check in and out for appointments and schedule future appointments to support the logistical functions of the front desk. Sorts through and sends clinic, provider, and personnel mail and email in order to respond promptly to inquiries. Performs other duties as assigned. Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience Required: 1 year of related experience Licensure/Certification/Listing
