LOCATION OF (1) POSITION(S) TO BE FILLED: DEPARTMENT OF DISABILITY AND AGING (DDA), PROTECTION FROM HARM DIVISION, MADISON COUNTY Qualifications Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in special education, education, rehabilitation or therapeutic health, nursing, sociology, social work, or any behavioral science field and experience equivalent to one year of working with persons with disabilities, aging, and/or mental health work. Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional graduate coursework in special education, rehabilitation or therapeutic health, nursing, sociology, social work, or any behavioral science field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, aging, or mental health work may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. OR Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to two years of working with persons with disabilities, aging, and/or mental health work. OR Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and completion of an internship with the Department of Disability and Aging. Necessary Special Qualifications: Overview This individual will work closely with providers in the West Tennessee Region to ensure that Action Plans and supporting documentation adequately address the outcomes and Informational Findings of DDA and Provider Investigations, ensuring compliance within the West Region, while acting as a back-up Specialist statewide. The IFU Specialist 2 shall attend Regional Quality Management Committee (RQMC) meetings for the West Region and represent DDA as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) of REM Investigations Follow-Up in the absence of the IFU Coordinator. Additionally, the IFU Specialist 2 shall provide support and Technical Assistance (TA) to providers as needed and run various REM reports as needed/requested. Relationship building, strategic planning, and advanced analytical skills are key areas of this role, as well as a strong willingness to serve people. A bachelor's degree or 2-5 years of relevant work experience is required experience. Some travel may be required. Responsibilities
