The C4ISR division at Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking an undergraduate student with more than one year of school remaining. The selected candidate will use established test procedures to develop automated testing software for computer imaging and web-based applications. Responsibilities include executing manual test procedures, automating tests, verifying that reported software defects have been resolved, identifying new defects through structured testing, and collaborating with software and test engineers to understand requirements and complete assigned tasks.

The Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems Division delivers mission-critical solutions, specializing in cyber operations, information architecture, strategic deterrence, and ISR. Required Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled at Utah State University pursuing an undergraduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a related technical field
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages (C#, C++, Java, Python)
  • Experience with Linux operating systems and scripting languages
  • Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week during semesters and up to 40 hours per week during school breaks (core hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm)
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and systems
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in 4+ hour blocks of time
  • Experience with version control (Git, GitHub)
  • Familiarity with Scrum and Agile software development practices
  • Experience automating UIs using test automation tools (Selenium or Playwright)
  • Understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Personal history of effective communication and teamwork
