Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated part-time Research Assistant to support targeted sharing of study information for an ongoing research study. The Research Assistant will primarily be responsible for distributing study flyers at University Hospital sites. This role is ideal for medical students who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in clinical research processes and participant outreach.

This position is grant-funded; employment is contingent upon the continued availability of those funds.

Essential Functions

• Distribute recruitment flyers at designated hospitals and clinical sites.
• Professionally and respectfully engage providers to raise awareness about the research study.
• Direct individuals with questions and interest to contact study staff.
• Track distribution activities, locations, and hours worked.
• Maintain an adequate supply of flyers.
• Coordinate distribution activities with other RAs and proactively communicate activities and flyer needs to study staff.
• Adhere to all site-specific policies, including confidentiality, professionalism, and infection control guidelines.
• Represent the research team in a courteous, ethical, and responsible manner.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of 0-2 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical students strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable approaching and speaking with providers in hospital environments.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time independently.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to distribution instructions.
• Must be able to travel to assigned hospital locations

Additional Information

This is a Part-Time per diem position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
