Security Officer - Mobile Patrol

As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol in Bakersfield, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet customers and associates, respond to questions, and communicate observations to site leadership. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers and store associates by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales floors, back-of-house areas, entrances, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor for suspicious or unusual activity, policy violations, and potential loss events, and help to deter issues through high-visibility presence and professional communication.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, fire alarms, and/or other emergency conditions as directed by post orders.
• Complete required reports and documentation, and communicate observations and incidents to store management and Allied Universal leadership per site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
