What You'll Do As a Technical Training Specialist, you will: Develop and maintain course materials for REI equipment and TSCMrelated topics Assist lead instructors during training at REI's facility and offsite worldwide Create new curriculum for future TSCM courses Maintain training equipment, materials, and project rooms Support Sales & Marketing at trade shows and technical events Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to test and evaluate REI products Perform additional related duties as assigned What You Bring Required: High School Diploma Electronics technical schooling or equivalent Experience teaching or training in a technical environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent analytical and problemsolving ability Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in classroom/office settings Preferred: Bachelor's degree Technical background in TSCM operations Law enforcement or intelligence experience ? Work Environment & Travel This role is based in a general office environment at our Cookeville, TN headquarters. You'll also have opportunities for worldwide travel (10-25%) to lead or support training events. ? Technical Instructor FLSA Classification Exempt Reports to Director, Training Department Date March 2026 Job Description Summary/objective To develop, plan and conduct training on equipment developed and manufactured by REI, and Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) topics and methods. Essential functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Develop new course material and maintain current course materials. Assist lead instructors at the REI facility in current and future courses. Assist the lead instructor at offsite locations in current and future courses. Develop future TSCM related course curriculum and materials. Maintain current and future training equipment and materials. Maintain and enhance as needed the current and future project rooms. Assist the Sales and Marketing department with trade shows and marketing events providing technical assistance. Cooperate and assist the Engineering and Production departments with operational testing and evaluation of REI Products. Perform other related duties as assigned. Competencies Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent technical knowledge. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Supervisory responsibilities None Work environment General office environment. Location in Cookeville TN. Physical demands Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged periods of speaking and classroom environments. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times. Travel required Worldwide, approximately 10 - 25% of the year. Required education and experience High School Diploma. Electronics technical schooling or equivalent. Experience teaching/training Preferred education and experience Bachelor's degree preferred. Technical background in TSCM operations preferred. Law enforcement or Intelligence background.
