The Cloud Infra and Supply Execution (CISE) finance team is an exciting and fast-evolvingfinance team at the forefront of Microsoft's Cloud-first strategy. The CISE finance team isresponsible for supporting delivering cloud capacity at the right time, right place and rightcost. We're seeking a Group Finance Manager to lead forward looking capital analytics,inventory finance governance, and warehousing strategy.

Responsibilities

The role requires a high degree of agility and skill in navigating multiple stakeholder requirements while enabling the accelerated growth aspirations for the business in a highly competitive market environment. To be successful, the individual needs to be highly collaborative, self-motivated and be curious in learning.

  • Own end to end capital analytics for LLE: build multi year investment models, scenario analyses, and pacing recommendations balancing supply security, capital efficiency, and unitcost reduction.
  • Lead financial evaluation of sourcing and contract structures with procurement andengineering (price curves, indexation, risk/benefit tradeoffs, make/buy, staging depth) tooptimize economics.
  • Establish and maintain LLE/warehousing KPIs (inventory turns, carrying cost, obsolescencerisk, storage utilization, cost to build impact) and drive data backed actions.
  • Translate strategy into finance rhythms: embed assumptions into budget/LRP/forecast; quantify risks/opportunities; provide clear narratives for senior reviews.
  • Strengthen reporting accuracy and controls for LLE and warehousing (capitalization, policyalignment, commitments, variance tracking, audit readiness).
  • Drive process and tooling improvements that increase automation, data quality, and crossteam decision velocity across equipment staging and warehouse footprint planning.


Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 12+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
    • OR equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling (NPV/IRR, sensitivity, price/volume mix), forecasting, and scenario planning for capital intensive programs.
  • Proven ability to partner across engineering, procurement, operations, influencing decisions with clear narratives and well structured analyses.
  • Understanding of inventory/accounting mechanics (capitalization policies, carrying costs, write downs, controls) and portfolio governance.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel/Power BI (or similar), and the ability to connect disparate data sources into executive ready insights.


Financial Analysis IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
