In this role, you will lead talented engineers and provide handson technical leadership to shape the systems and processes that power our pricing, packaging, licensing, channel, and monetization strategies-delivering material, measurable impact. As part of this mission, the Monetization and Business Planning team is building a business process automation practice to drive efficiency across gotomarket operations. You will define and own the automation strategy that streamlines how products are brought to market, delivering scalable solutions that improve launch execution and enable better, faster decisionmaking across internal teams. As a Principal Software Engineering Manager on the Monetization and Business Planning team, you will act as a strategic partner to functional teams, influencing Microsoft's gotomarket decisions to drive business growth. You will build trusted crossfunctional relationships, take on progressively broader responsibilities, and establish yourself as a trusted strategic advisor. Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
