The Cone Health Medical Group Director is accountable for ongoing operational results of a group of assigned practices or a care division. The Director is also accountable for ongoing projects with new and existing practices, both in terms of communication and implementation.

Essential Job Function

  • Employee Engagement/Talent Development: Engagement and Development of CHMG Practice leaders and providers.
  • Includes recruitment, mentoring, and the development of relationships that strengthen CHMG's mission and values.
  • Uses established tactics such as evaluations, staff meetings, provider meetings and rounding tassure goals are achieved.
  • Accountable Leader: Meets all system requirements of Director Leadership Competencies.
  • This may include : system-wide meetings, webinars, and other forms of communication such as email, etc Employs multiple communication modes tkeep CHMG practices informed of system developments/initiativesFinancial/Resource Manager: Understands and uses tools available (financial reports, OA reports, VitalStats, etc) tenable practices tcreate value for our patients.
  • Oversee and manage budget and budget process.
  • Communicates financial information in an informative and understandable way.
  • Takes actions necessary when financial performance varies from plan.
  • Understands provider compensation plans and appropriately applies incentives.
  • Able tassist financial analysts in development of proformas for growth possibilitiesQuality and Safety Leader: Uses established tactics tachieve CHMG and CH Quality Goals.
  • This includes, assuring operational compliance with: clinical competencies, regulatory requirements, risk management initiatives and ACO and other metricsService Leader: Sees the patient as the center and reason for all our work.
  • Employs tactics tachieve the highest level of customer satisfaction possible, as well as expecting that of the team.
  • This would include engagement of all staff and providers in addressing patient customer needs, using satisfaction metrics and patient feedback.
  • Visionary, Innovative ,Strategic Leader: Employs breakthrough and innovating thinking tfurther practice, CHMG and Cone Health goals.
  • Achieves this by constant personal development, and a willingness tthink globally--beyond immediate area of accountability.

  • Uses development tools and tactics tfurther practice and CHMG growth as necessary.

Education

  • REQUIRED:Bachelor's in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field, required.
  • Graduate Degree in Business, Finance or Health Care Administration or related field (in progress or completed), required.

Experience

  • REQUIRED:Minimum of 5 years in physician practice management and/or management in Healthcare - Healthcare Administration.
  • PREFERRED10+ years practice management experience.

Licensure/Certification/Listing

  • REQUIRED MGMA CMPE or attained within 36 months of hire
