Responsible for floor refinishing, carpet
shampooing/extraction, ceiling cleaning, wall washing in accordance with the standard procedures of the housekeeping department and the hospital's objectives.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High school graduate or equivalent. EXPERIENCE: 1. Three (3) months prior experience with floor refinishing and carpet cleaning equipment and procedures. CORE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. Performs cleaning functions in assigned area following established schedule and using prescribed methods. 2. Scrubs and strips all soil or finish down to the base tile. 3. Accounts for the cleanliness and neat appearance of assigned project areas and that projects or schedule is completed in proper time. 4. Follows instruction of supervisors to insure all areas pass inspection. 5. Analyzes floor conditions and administers proper cleaning techniques to insure proper appearance and protect surface being serviced. 6. Observes/reports any deficiencies of equipment or furniture. 7. Performs cleaning duties in locked medication rooms. The Floor Finisher is aware that they are not responsible for medications and they should report any unsecured medications to a licensed professional. Demonstrates knowledge of and follows correct chain of command in handling challenges and issues, including crisis situations 5.
