Opportunity Overview: GIS Technician Gastonia, NC 12 Months Your Day-to-Day: * Maintain and organize documentation and records related to utilities, ensuring proper document control and easy accessibility. * Perform detailed research on historical records and data to support field operations. * Verify and update records as needed to ensure accuracy and completeness. * Collaborate with external partners (contractors, utilities, agencies) to facilitate smooth communication and coordination of operations. * Work closely with internal teams to ensure that operational procedures are aligned with GIS and documentation needs. * Ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed of any changes or updates to records and GIS data. * Perform in-depth research to gather accurate data and documentation to support ongoing projects and operational needs. * Analyze historical data, utility records, and other related materials to resolve discrepancies and provide insights. * Assist in troubleshooting any issues related to GIS systems or document control processes. * Ensure operational workflows involving GIS and document control are executed efficiently, meeting project deadlines and operational needs. Who You Are: Minimum Highschool diploma or equivalency GIS certification/degree Preferred 1) Entry level GIS experience and basic understanding of GIS concepts2) Problem resolution, analytical and detail oriented3) Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and handle changing and emerging priorities Our Safety Pledge to You: If you are as committed to your success as we are committed to your safety, then this is the position for you!
