Agile Scrum Master

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Scrum Master for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role supports the Performance Engineering and Capacity Management (PECM) team, acting as a servant leader to optimize the flow of stories and the value delivered. The Scrum Master will facilitate Agile ceremonies, manage dependencies, provide visibility into team progress, and enable continuous improvement within the team. Key responsibilities also include building and managing Tableau dashboards for program status reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage SME knowledge and Technologists to assist, drive, and streamline new program workstreams
• Assess Agile / Scrum maturity and ensure that the team works at a sustainable pace
• Ensure team metrics and results are transparent and used to enable data driven decisions
• Guide the team on how to apply Agile Principles and utilize Agile/Scrum practices
• Manage and help resolve program impediments, escalating issues beyond the team's control
• Facilitate cross functional discussions, enable decision making and navigate conflict resolution
• Promote continuous improvement and ensure retrospective items successfully land in the backlog and have a clear ownership
• Facilitate team ceremonies / events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews and Retrospectives
• Build and manage multiple sets of Tableau dashboards for reporting program status and KPI metrics for Risk
• Support the Product Owner on Grooming/Refinement sessions and ensuring a healthy backlog
• Lead program work independently without needing oversight and supervision, supporting an environment of trust and transparency

Requirements:

• Agile experience in the Scrum Master role with the ability to attentively apply Agile / Scrum principles
• Experience with the creation and management of multiple complex sets of Tableau dashboards
• Understanding of Performance Testing and Capacity Management context for overall software development lifecycle
• Pragmatic ability to apply servant leadership (putting the team before self)
• Robust facilitation skills and situational awareness
• Ability to drive continuous improvement through transparency and learning
• Strong navigation skills and organizational awareness
• Excellent communication skills

Desired skills:

• Certified in SAFE Scaled Agile for Scrum Masters

Pay range: $63.94 - $71.94 per hour
