The Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager plays a critical role in driving the Global PCG Facilities Operations Excellence Strategy by leading continuous improvement initiatives across multiple facilities. This role supports the CI Director in executing the global roadmap focused on process standardization, digital transformation, datadriven decision making, continuous improvement capability, and manufacturing excellence.

The CI Manager partners with Regional Facility Managers (RFMs), Facility Managers (FMs), Technical, Quality, Data, Supply Chain, and Digital/IT teams to implement standard processes, deploy CI tools, build capability, and ensure the successful execution of the 2026 strategic initiatives.

This is a hands-on, region-facing role responsible for project leadership, CI training, metrics deployment, site support, and standardization, aligned directly with the global CI roadmap.

This role is not remote/hybrid. This role will report to Sherwin-Williams Global Headquarters located at 1 Sherwin Way, Cleveland, OH 44113. If you are not near the Cleveland GHQ, we will expect you to sit at our office in Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX, Minneapolis, MN, Denver, CO or Chicago, IL.

  • Lead continuous improvement projects that enhance productivity, service, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Implement standardized processes, SOPs, quality systems, and audit programs across facilities.
  • Facilitate kaizen events and coach teams in Lean and Six Sigma tools.
  • Support digital transformation efforts through system optimization (e.g., Aurora, BIOS, Power Apps) and adoption of automation/AI tools.
  • Conduct site visits to identify opportunities, validate progress, and provide handson CI support.
  • Ensure accurate project documentation, KPI tracking, and benefits validation in KaiNexus.
  • Build CI capability across the organization through training, coaching, and bestpractice sharing.
  • Contribute to the development of standard tools, templates, and global operating procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future (e.g., OPT, CPT, H1B, EB-1,etc.)
  • Must have a bachelor's degree or higher or four (4) years of experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, or manufacturing/operations leadership
  • Must have experience facilitating crossfunctional workshops / Kaizen events
  • Must have at least one (1) year of advanced Microsoft Office/365 skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Must have experience implementing process standardization and/or building operating systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have a bachelor's degree or higher in management, engineering, operations, business administration, or supply chain
  • Have a Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.)
  • Have familiarity with quality systems (ISO, QS, 6S) and digital platforms (Aurora, BIOS, POS, BatApp).
  • Have experience deploying standard processes across multiple sites.
  • Have experience in multi-site operations (manufacturing, distribution, or service-based environments)
  • Have a background in building or maintaining an Operational Excellence system (e.g., Tier meeting structures, KPIs, leader standard work)
  • Have familiarity with ERP systems (POS, Oracle, PROJ, etc.)
  • Have experience with automation, digital workflow tools, or data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Minitab, etc.)
  • Have strong project management experience and/or PMP certification
  • Have change management training or certification (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR)
  • Have experience developing training materials, coaching, and upskilling teams in CI/Lean
