Job Overview

The Senior, Site Analytics ensures measurement and analysis of the impact of site merchandising optimizations for Macys.com. The role identifies opportunities that enable Site Merchandising and the broader digital business to make critical, data-informed decisions. The Senior, Site Analytics designs analysis frameworks, monitors site usage and performance, presents clear data stories with recommendations, and generates reports and insights. The role modernizes the performance analytics ecosystem by owning end-to-end diagnostic frameworks aligned to core site metrics, advancing dashboard automation and technical enablement, and proactively surfacing enterprise-impacting insights tied to revenue, margin, and customer KPIs.

What You Will Do



  • Lead advanced diagnostic deep dives to break down complex performance shifts into root-cause insights; quantify financial impact; and translate findings into clear, prioritized actions aligned to enterprise revenue and profitability goals.
  • Provide analytics thought leadership to digital and enterprise partners to strengthen site merchandising strategy and optimization decisions.
  • Partner with Site Merchandising and Digital stakeholders to solve complex problems, identify opportunities, and improve customer experience, conversion rate, funnel performance, and margin; recommend and design tests.
  • Design, build, and scale automated performance dashboards and data pipelines to elevate Site Analytics technical capability, reduce manual reporting, standardize KPI definitions, and enable real-time, self-service visibility into site health and merchandising performance.
  • Apply advanced expertise in Adobe Analytics, SQL, Power BI, and Tableau to build scalable dashboards, develop robust data models and queries, and enable intuitive self-service reporting that drives data-informed decisions.
  • Define and execute audits of analytics tracking to ensure accurate data collection across analytics systems.
  • Anticipate business risks and opportunities by monitoring leading indicators; translate insights into scenario modeling, financial sizing, and recommendations that inform merchandising, marketing, and promotional decisions before performance gaps materialize.
  • Advocate best practices and develop training to help teams use data and tools effectively.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to partner with Site Merchandising, Digital, and enterprise stakeholders to solve complex problems, identify opportunities, and translate analytics into clear, prioritized actions that improve customer experience, conversion, funnel performance, revenue, and margin.

Advanced Analytics & Diagnostic Rigor: Demonstrated strength in designing analysis frameworks, performing root-cause deep dives on performance shifts, and quantifying financial impact to support revenue and profitability goals.

Performance Measurement & KPI Governance: Expertise in defining, standardizing, and governing core site KPIs; establishing end-to-end diagnostic frameworks aligned to site health and merchandising performance.

Data Storytelling & Executive Communication: Ability to present clear, compelling data narratives and recommendations that drive critical, data-informed decisions at all levels of the business.

Dashboarding, Automation & Self-Service Enablement: Ability to design, build, and scale automated dashboards and reporting ecosystems that reduce manual effort and enable real-time, self-service visibility for stakeholders.

Technical & Tool Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Adobe Analytics (preferred), SQL, Power BI, and Tableau, including building robust data models, writing scalable queries, and developing intuitive dashboards.

Strategic Foresight & Scenario Modeling: Ability to proactively monitor leading indicators, anticipate risks and opportunities, and translate insights into scenario modeling, sizing, and recommendations that guide merchandising, marketing, and promotional decisions.

Prioritization, Project Management & Ownership: Ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively, communicate timelines, and take end-to-end ownership of analytics deliverables and outcomes.

Who You Are



  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 4-plus years of experience in consulting, strategy, and e-commerce /or retail analytics.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
