Real Estate Attorney

Job Title: Real Estate Attorney/ Real Estate Legal Counsel/ Property Litigation Attorney
Job Duration: 6 months contract
Location: Birmingham AL 35203

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
*Assist in the management of the Company's fee owned lands and the protection of the Company's land rights.
*Assist in the management and resolution of complex surveillance matters involving the Company's fee owned lands.
*Negotiate/Draft complex commercial leases/licenses.

Job Description:
*BS Degree required.
*Juris Doctorate from ABA accredited law school strongly preferred.
*Minimum five (5) years' experience practicing law external to APC strongly preferred.
*Prior experience involving real estate litigation strongly preferred
*Prior experience with drafting/negotiating of lease/license agreements preferred
*Member of Alabama State Bar (active license) preferred.
*Experience with real estate laws, rules and regulations.
*Demonstrated knowledge of real estate practices and principles.
*Ability to think strategically, be innovative, and implement tactically, while making timely decisions.
*Strong interpersonal & negotiation skills to effectively deal with internal and external business partners/stakeholders while balancing the legal, ethical and political considerations to represent the Company's best interest
