About the Opportunity:

The Maintenance Parts Specialist is responsible for maintenance spare parts inventory control, ensuring technicians have the right parts at the right time while controlling cost, accuracy, and stockouts. This role supports planned maintenance execution, kitting, and critical spares management to reduce unplanned downtime and emergency purchasing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate spare parts inventory (receiving, issuing, stocking, and organization).
  • Perform cycle counts and audits; investigate and correct variances to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Create and maintain bin locations, labeling, and (if applicable) barcode standards.
  • Build and maintain asset-based BOMs and recommended spare parts lists.
  • Set and maintain min/max levels for critical spares; monitor lead times and reorder points.
  • Kit parts for PMs and planned work; coordinate with the Maintenance Planner on the 2-4-week look-ahead.
  • Manage vendor relationships for maintenance parts, including expediting and warranty tracking.
  • Identify obsolete/excess inventory and support cost reduction and standardization initiatives.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years in maintenance storeroom, inventory control, procurement support, or similar role in manufacturing/industrial setting.
  • Ability to identify common and uncommon industrial components and understand maintenance parts usage.
  • Experience with a CMMS inventory module preferred; strong attention to detail and organization.
