Recruiter:Carolyn Harris | carolyn.harris@airliquide.com Air Liquide is looking for a driven and technically-skilled Mechanical Engineer with design and operational experience to join our team. In this role, you'll take ownership of the complete lifecycle of critical mechanical equipment (especially rotating/compression equipment) used in gas processing at our renewable natural gas (RNG) plants. From initial design and specification to commissioning and ongoing support through operations (including troubleshooting, RCAs, problem resolution), you'll ensure our systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. You will also be a key player in multidisciplinary project teams, including teams managing operations and development of new RNG plants for construction, contributing your expertise to build and improve our state-of-the-art facilities. This position is a perfect fit for an engineer who enjoys both technical design, hands-on project execution and management of operating equipment. Responsibilities
Equipment Lifecycle Management: Take full responsibility for the specification, selection, procurement, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment, especially rotating/compression equipment, ensuring it meets project and process requirements. Lead RCAs efficiently. Work with site staff and the reliability team to develop and implement strategies that maximize uptime of the equipment. Be a lead on troubleshooting issues with rotating equipment during operation, including with vendors/OEMs/etc. Code Compliance: Ensure all pressure vessel and piping designs, modifications, and repairs adhere to relevant industry standards, particularly ASME Section VIII, Division 1 and ASME B31.3. Recommend when to mandate equipment specific standards such as API 618 & 619. Project Execution: Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (Process, Electrical, Controls) to design, install, and commission new equipment and systems safely and efficiently. Technical Support: Serve as a subject matter expert for key rotating equipment, providing engineering support for troubleshooting, maintenance strategies, and reliability improvements. Project Engineering: Assist in managing project scope, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery from concept to completion.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 10+ years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or chemical processing environment. Working knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (Section VIII, Div. 1) and Process Piping code (B31.3). Demonstrated experience with industrial rotating equipment and mechanical systems. Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate cross-functional teams Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven "hands-on" mechanical and troubleshooting ability Experience in environmental sustainability industry such as biogas, renewable energy or waste treatment Working knowledge of commercial agreements and customer relations. Ability to travel (up to 40%) Work in industrial environments Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Able to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and has the strategic agility to adapt to changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Direct design and operational experience with centrifugal blowers, oil-flooded screw compressors, and/or industrial mixers. Experience in project engineering or project management, including cost and schedule management. Familiarity with the gas processing, oil and gas, or chemical industries. Military technical training Knowledge of industrial gases and pipeline safety preferred
Working Conditions
C1D2 environment; Ignitable concentrations of hazards exist under abnormal operation conditions Daily wear of protective attire, such as safety goggles, hard hats, and other specific gear, is frequently required. Exposure to loud and distracting noises is common, as is working with hazardous equipment and potentially dangerous contaminants.
The ability to lift 1-50 pounds regularly. The ability to respond quickly to alarms. The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in restricted spaces. The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
