Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Utility Aide coordinates the flow of product and stocks the needed supplies and components for the wax molding, leaching and assembly operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Staging assembly components.
  2. Leach tank maintenance and operation.
  3. Washing wax patterns.
  4. Stock materials and supplies for molding and assembly.
  5. Stage and dip assembly frames.
  6. General departmental cleaning.
  7. Receiving, inventory and ordering of materials and supplies for molding and assembly.
  8. Copying and stocking of assorted assembly and molding forms.
  9. Maintain dip seal tank.
  10. Light assembly and molding as needed.
  11. Light data entry.
  12. Maintenance of assorted assembly and molding tools.
  13. Writing basic assembly instructions.
  14. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  15. Proper management of spent aerosol cans. Annual hazardous waste training for management of spent aerosol cans

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. Ability to learn new skills, cross-train and be flexible in day to day activities.
  2. Ability to pay attention and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
  3. Must possess strong organizational skills.
  4. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  5. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  6. Must possess good interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work overtime if needed.
  8. Ability to lift and or maneuver objects weighing up to fifty pounds.
  9. Ability to learn computer skills involving MS Word.
  10. Ability to complete Forklift Safety Certification Training.
  11. Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner and adhere to safety rules.
  12. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing to co-workers and supervision.
  13. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent. Basic math skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to read, write, stand, climb, stoop and reach to perform job functions. Ability to lift and or maneuver objects weighing up to fifty pounds. Ability to use computers and office machines. Ability to follow written and oral instruction. Ability to work in conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals and varying temperatures.
