The Opportunity

If so, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Office of Admissions would love to get to know you!

We currently have two openings for Admissions Counselors (official title: Assistant Director of Admissions).

In this role, you will execute a strategic recruitment plan using available resources to meet targeted enrollment goals. Responsibilities include traveling nationally to represent Embry-Riddle at college fairs and recruitment events, developing relationships with high school guidance counselors, educational consultants, and college counselors, maintaining ongoing communication with prospective students throughout the admissions process, and staying informed on industry trends and campus developments that may influence prospective students' decisions.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position islow $40,000s. The final offer will consider the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience, along with applicable state regulations, internal equity, and business needs, and may fall outside of the stated range.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required and at least one year of admissions or related experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deal positively with the public using good public relation skills
  • Effective listening skills
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationship with others
  • Be self-motivated and self assured
  • Have the capacity to see projects through to successful completion (ie follow-up)
  • Be willing to travel extensively (8-10 weeks per academic year), working evenings, weekends and possibly minor holidays
  • Possess a valid drivers license with a good driving record.
  • Support co-workers in their assigned territories as needed, to include, but not limited to travel and presentations.
  • Analytical skills with knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications.
