Overview

Waters Corporation is seeking an energetic and motivated Engineering Summer Intern to join our Process and Automation Engineering Team. In this role, you will contribute to the engineering, productivity, and enhancement of our new state-of-the-art chemical manufacturing plant. Throughout the summer, you will have the opportunity to learn about many new and exciting processes while helping engineers and chemists with their daily operational challenges. You will also take ownership of your own project work, developing real-world engineering experience in a unique operation while providing meaningful contributions to the site.



Responsibilities

    Gain exposure to a wide variety of chemical, physical, and automated processes throughout our manufacturing facility.
  • Monitor, interact with, and enhance production processes using software platforms including our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Process Control System (PCS).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Process Engineering, Automation Engineering, Chemistry Technical Support, and Supply Chain.
  • Gather, organize, and streamline data and materials.
  • Assist engineers and chemists with troubleshooting and providing technical support for daily plant operations.
  • Perform any other tasks or project work as assigned, with opportunities to lead independent initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Current student pursuing Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other STEM field, OR recent graduate with Bachelors Degree in Engineering or STEM field required.
  • 0-3 years of prior work experience in a related field is a plus, but not required.
  • The candidate must be motivated, flexible, a quick learner, and must exhibit critical thinking abilities.
  • The ability to interact within a multi-disciplinary team and have good oral & written communications skills is required.
