Description

We are seeking a visionary and technically accomplished Director of PDK Development and External Foundry Enablement. In this position, you will play a key role to bridge the gap between technology and design to ensure best-in-class performance and manufacturability. You will work with both internal and external focus to define and operationalize best-in-class tools, flows and methodologies as well as collaborate with industry-leading vendors and academia to ensure we institute a robust and highly performant enablement process. This is a high-impact leadership position reporting to the Sr. Director of EDA Engineering, with a mandate to institute robust operational processes and grow a world-class team.

Responsibilities

* Leadership: Own the PDK strategy and roadmap across technology nodes. Build and scale a world-class PDK enablement team. Establish operational excellence with best-in-class processes, release management and change control


* Development: Own end-to-end PDK lifecycle including vendor engagement, internal developments such as pCells, automated QA, documentation, and release


* Methodology: Define reference flows for analog/mixed-signal and RF. Drive integration with major EDA platforms. Implement CI/CD pipeline


* Vendor Enablement: Align roadmap, institute bug traceability, drive continuous improvement


* Release Management: Define PDK release methodology, semantic versioning, change impact analysis and rollback. Define and own documentation, migration guides, training

Required Experience and Skills

* Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.


* 15+ years of experience in PDK development, foundry enablement, in both individual contributor and leadership roles.


* Proven track record delivering PDKs and signoff enablement for multiple nodes and multiple foundries.


* Hands-on expertise with PDK artifacts such as pCells, parameter constraints, DRC/LVS decks, PEX/RC extraction, modeling


* Demonstrated vendor/foundry relationship management and escalation leadership; experience negotiating deliverables and timelines


* Proficiency in tools and platforms, such as Cadence, Mentor, Synopsys, Keysight, Ansys, etc., and ability to customize and automate design flows using scripting languages, such as SKILL, Python etc.


* Excellent program management skills; strong written/oral communication and executive reporting


* Proven track record in recruiting and managing global teams


* Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.


The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $170,100 - $339,500 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
