Closely collaborate with operational teams, executives, IT partners and lead our expanding team of data engineers within FedEx Logistics Freight forwarding and Brokerage to create and deliver Reporting and Analytics products and solutions. The role will play a crucial role in promoting data-centric decision-making throughout the organization. This managerial position will have a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy and driving business growth through data-driven initiatives and is integral to the company's endeavor of modernizing data management and its usage. The Reporting & Analytics Manager consults with stakeholders to understand the business model, objectives, issues, and challenges that analytics can support.

The Manager of Engineering - Reporting & Analytics is responsible for defining, designing, delivery and ongoing maintenance and improvement of the Analytics and Reporting capabilities across FedEx Trade Networks Air and Ocean forwarding and brokerage, leading to increase in efficiencies and strengthening of operations and performance controls.

* The role leads the business requirement definition and functional design of reporting and analytics that reflect stakeholder requirements and business needs.

* Provides leadership to Business Intelligence team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives.

* Visualize and lead a team to build and meet reporting needs, that tells the data-driven story to the business by connecting data from multiple sources to provide insightful and actionable analyses, reports, and dashboards that drive key business decisions.

* Translate complex data analysis and clean and concise insights into compelling data driven narratives using dashboards and visualization, to effectively communicate to a broad range of stakeholders, into clear and concise insights. linking data and operational processes and understanding.

* Drives standardization and governance across all reporting analytics frameworks, guidelines, and metrics to ensure globally consistent performance management.

* Develops and implements quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements.

* Identify and report gaps within the tools and data, make recommendations for improvements and identify, report, and implement any new opportunities or changes in functionality of the analytical tools, dashboards/reports to all stakeholders; frequently review dashboards and reports for their applicability.

* Train and support the teams accessing the tool, data, and dashboards; generate documentation and instructions. Project manage (monitor, communicate, support, escalate) improvement plans to ensure positive change; monitor and report other projects as assigned.

* Strong experience with information design and data models.

* Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the industry and FedEx systems.

* Innovate data analytics solutions, data insights and storytelling to help simplify our metrics and insights capability.

* Maintains and manages reporting platform ensuring reporting and analytics developed and distributed on time.

* Provide consultation on data governance policies and processes, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.

* Enhance the data warehouse and data lake structures and implementations to align with organizational and project goals. * Creates, implements, and manages processes to streamline project workflows; enforces policies to ensure data quality and integrity.

* Develops reports as needed using many data sources for programs; develops and executes presentations to senior leadership.

* Works with technology teams to ensure the automation of all processes and deployment of new technologies.

* Manage and coach a team of reporting analysts and engineers, performing the role of counselor and coach; provide leadership and support for team members, Establishing goals, expectations, and accountabilities for staff.

* Drives innovative ways to search for meaningful patterns, trends, and relationships amongst large amounts of data and to identify the success measures, analyses and reporting processes that lead to actionable findings.

* Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in forwarding analytics and data quality management.

* Selects, develops, manages, and evaluates direct reports; ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely fashion.

* Overall leadership in supporting functional delivery of global solution implementations of the reporting services and products.

* Assists with data-mapping, designing systems landscapes and informational processes for all functional areas and there reporting needs.

* Ensure alignment with other opco's and enterprise products and service* has context menu. * Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree/equivalent in logistics/supply chain management, or related field. Seven (7) years related experience in transportation/ logistics/brokerage. Must have experience with MS Office, ms project, and visio. Strong business process, analytical, problem solving, conceptual, project management, communication, and human relations skills. Ability to incorporate the impact of multi-operating company requirements into workable solutions. Extensive travel required.
