Director - Retail Alternatives Transfer Agency; Product and Sales Support

Location: Boston, MA | Braintree, MA | Waltham, MA | Kansas City, MO | New York, NY | Union, NJ - Hybrid

About the Role

This role is responsible for developing and maintaining exceptional client relationships while overseeing service and support activities. The position ensures operational excellence, high client satisfaction, and alignment with program and delivery standards. Acting as a strategic partner, this leader works cross-functionally to drive proactive service delivery, optimize fee structures, support sales efforts, and influence enterprise-level initiatives.

How You Will Make an Impact

Client Relationship Management & Service Delivery

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for product and sales support within the retail alternatives transfer agency.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client business models, operational/product needs, and develop deep understanding of services across the retail alternatives transfer agency.
  • Ensure quality service delivery and operational performance within established program and delivery standards.
  • Drive proactive service and relationship support across the organization to enhance client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Strategic Leadership & Operational Impact

  • Act as a senior leader with broad operational or functional responsibility, collaborating with other senior leaders and executives to define and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Apply in-depth company knowledge, specialized expertise, and influence to resolve critical, complex, and high-impact issues.
  • Participate in the development and administration of large-scale programs and projects with significant impact on operational or functional success.

Fee Strategy & Revenue Optimization

  • Analyze and guide fee structures for retail alternatives TA products in partnership with Finance to ensure alignment with targeted profit margins.
  • Identify revenue uplift opportunities by assessing clients whose fee structures are below desired profitability thresholds.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Management teams to develop and execute strategies to appropriately align and optimize client fees.
  • Lead discussions on fee structures and contract terms for new prospects, existing clients, and the introduction of new services.

Sales, Marketing & Industry Engagement

  • Support sales efforts by participating in prospect and existing client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Attend industry events, marketing functions, prospect meetings, and relevant forums to stay informed on industry trends and regulatory or market changes.
  • Proactively communicate industry insights and emerging developments to internal leadership teams to ensure organizational preparedness.
  • Collaborate with sales and support teams to demonstrate the value of the firm's support offerings and identify opportunities for expanded business.

Client Collaboration & Innovation

  • Partner with the Operational Strategy Lead to survey clients and host advisory meetings with clients, fintech partners, and dealer firms.
  • Gather insights to align on future initiatives, product enhancements, and service improvements clients would like the organization to pursue.
  • Help drive client adoption of key company initiatives and platforms, including AltServe Connect and other strategic solutions.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 8 years of proven experience in client relationship management, operational leadership, or strategic service delivery
  • Strong financial acumen with experience analyzing fee structures and profitability
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills
  • Knowledge of DTC AIP, NSCC, and fintechs that support alternative investment products and registered alternatives such as interval funds, tender funds, NT REIT, and NT BDC.
  • Transfer Agency experience with SS&C platforms preferred.

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. New York: The expected base salary for the position is between $130,000 USD to $220,000 USD. Massachusetts: The expected base salary for the position is between $100,000 USD to $195,000 USD. In addition, employees in this role may be eligible for consideration on an annual basis for a discretionary bonus and/or equity awards, such as restricted stock units or stock options, based upon individual and business performance at the company's discretion.
