OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANYFox Corporation Under the FOX banner, we produce and distribute content through some of the world's leading and most valued brands, including: FOX News Media, FOX Sports, FOX Entertainment, FOX Television Stations and Tubi Media Group. We empower a diverse range of creators to imagine and develop culturally significant content, while building an organization that thrives on creative ideas, operational expertise and strategic thinking. JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Director, Solutions Engineering at AdRise, a part of FOX, you will serve as a senior technical leader responsible for operationalizing platform capabilities delivered by Engineering, supporting stakeholders across FOX in the use of those capabilities, and translating real-world usage and gaps back into actionable roadmap input.

This role sits at the intersection of Engineering, Product, and the business, ensuring that platform features are understood, adopted, supported, and evolved in a way that reflects how they are actually used.

You will lead a team of Solutions Engineers who act as technical stewards of the platform, balancing execution, enablement, and continuous improvement.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Platform Intake & Ownership

  • Serve as the primary owner for receiving new platform capabilities from Engineering into the Solutions Engineering organization.

  • Develop a deep understanding of intended functionality, known limitations, technical tradeoffs, edge cases and failure modes.

  • Ensure the team is prepared to support adoption, troubleshoot issues, and explain constraints clearly and accurately.

Stakeholder Enablement & Support

  • Act as a technical bridge between Engineering and Product teams and non-technical stakeholders (Sales, Ad Ops, Programmatic, Yield, Partnerships).

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear mental models, practical usage guidance, and business-relevant explanations.

  • Partner with stakeholders to identify where workflows break down, find creative non-code solutions when possible, and set realistic expectations where constraints exist.

Technical Advocacy & Roadmap Influence

  • Identify recurring gaps, limitations, or friction points surfaced through real usage.

  • Engage Product and Engineering in substantive technical discussions to explain why certain limitations matter, quantify impact, and propose viable solutions or alternatives.

  • Help shape roadmap prioritization by grounding requests in platform behavior, stakeholder pain, and business outcomes.

  • Ensure feedback loops are structured, credible, and actionable.

Execution & Architectural Leadership

  • Drive execution of complex ad-tech initiatives across DAI / SSAI (Live and VOD), FreeWheel and FOX's proprietary ad-serving and decisioning platforms, and programmatic enablement and platform integrations.

  • Own ad flow design and validation, with strong emphasis on:

    • Ad Decision Logic (ADL)

    • Inventory ownership and entitlement

    • Break structure and capacity modeling

  • Ensure architectural decisions are consistent, scalable, and aligned with platform direction.

Team Growth & Capability Building

  • Build and lead a high-performing Solutions Engineering team that understands publisher-side ad tech deeply and is comfortable operating across technical and business contexts.

  • Develop team members to:

    • Speak credibly with engineers

    • Support non-technical stakeholders

    • Recognize when workarounds are appropriate vs when platform changes are required

  • Establish standards for documentation, product handoff, support escalation, and technical reviews.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Act as a trusted partner to Engineering, Product Management, Ad Ops, Programmatic, Sales and Partnerships.

  • Represent adRise in deep technical conversations with OEMs, MVPDs, Measurement and contextual vendors.

  • Ensure platform limitations and capabilities are communicated honestly and early.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 10+ years of experience in Ad tech, Publisher platforms, Streaming / CTV ecosystems.

  • Strong understanding of ad serving and SSAI/DAI architectures, FreeWheel, GAM, or equivalent systems, Ad Decision Logic (ADL), and ad flow construction.

  • Proven ability to:

    • Translate technical complexity into usable guidance

    • Influence roadmaps without direct ownership

    • Lead and mentor technical teams

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Publisher-side ad-tech experience.

  • Exposure to custom ad platforms and large-scale distributed systems.

  • Prior hands-on engineering or integration experience (a plus, not required).

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • New platform features are adopted smoothly with fewer escalations.

  • Stakeholders understand both what the platform can do and what it cannot.

  • Engineering receives clear, prioritized, technically grounded feedback.

  • The Solutions Engineering team becomes:

    • A trusted first stop for platform questions

    • A credible voice in roadmap discussions

  • You spend less time translating and firefighting, without losing visibility.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

  • This role ensures that FOX's ad platforms don't just ship features, but work in the real world, with Solutions Engineering acting as the connective tissue between platform intent and business reality.
