Clinic Office Coordinator (New Physical Therapy Montrose location)

The Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy is seeking a Clinical Office Coordinator to enhance the patient experience at the USC Physical Therapy-Montrose clinic. Under the direction of the Clinic Director , this position provides a broad range of administrative duties related to the practice such as:

  • Assists in development and updating policies and procedures, workflows and improving patient access to sites all sites within USC Physical Therapy. Communicates, implements and provides training for all staff as it relates to policies and procedures and workflows.
  • Participates in evaluation of operations to improve front-end operations, patient scheduling, and registration to optimize billing/collections for patient services.
  • Research, gather, organize, and summarize data for reports. Analyzes data for trends or conclusions and presents results and recommendations as it relates to front office operations and call center. Reviews reports within EMR to evaluate and analyze conversion rates, referral tracking, authorization, eligibility, and optimize patient access at all sites.
  • Supervises staff
  • Knowledge of working in a physical therapy clinic with a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be proficient in medical billing and extensive training in customer service.

The range for this hourly position is $28.00 - $30.00 per hour. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree
Addtional Education Requirements Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience: 2 years in an office setting.
Minimum Skills: Experience with billing and compliance. Familiarity with clinical operations. Proven ability to practice discretion with confidential information. Research skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Education: Master's degree
Preferred Certifications: Relevant medical services certifications/licenses (e.g., certified coder, biller, quality improvement).
Preferred Experience: 4 years
Preferred Skills: Experience with billing and compliance in a clinical university environment. Experience with credentials necessary for medical staff and providers. Experience with data analysis and reporting.
