Job Summary Manage and supervise all engineering and administrative policies, procedures, and functions at the project level. Coordinate with project field operations to ensure accurate transfer of information, clear communication, and effective implementation of project requirements. Provide leadership to project engineering staff while ensuring compliance with safety, ethics, and quality standards. Job Responsibilities

Develop a thorough understanding of contract documents, including plans, specifications, and applicable codes.

Lead, supervise, and mentor all project engineering staff, providing input on performance evaluations.

Ensure adherence to safety, ethics, and compliance standards at all times.

Facilitate effective communication among all project team members.

Establish and maintain procedures with design professionals, consultants, owners, and subcontractors for information flow, approvals, meetings, reporting, and applications for payment.

Collaborate with Preconstruction, Estimating, and Purchasing teams in developing project budgets or Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP). Lead preconstruction efforts for project engineering needs.

Review construction documents for constructability, quality assurance, and quality control, addressing concerns with appropriate design professionals.

Participate in studies, material and method recommendations, and cost estimating.

Prepare detailed contract item lists and develop trade scope of work documents for bid packages, materials, and equipment.

Develop procurement schedules for subcontractors, materials, and equipment to ensure timely acquisition and compliance with the project schedule.

Manage financial aspects of the project, including preparation of project status updates and financial reports.

Schedule, conduct, and document all job, coordination, and owner-architect meetings.

Oversee the subcontract change order process, including review, negotiation, approvals, and documentation.

Manage project close-out, including securing warranties and guarantees, finalizing payments, and ensuring records retention.
Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of eight years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Knowledge of accounting principles, cost control procedures, estimating, construction costs, scheduling, purchasing, and engineering principles.

Familiarity with various building systems.

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to implement technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Lean construction practices.

Demonstrated ability to understand drawings, specifications, contract documents, materials, and construction methods.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

Regularly works on-site at construction locations with exposure to moving mechanical parts, high elevations, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and potential electrical hazards.
