Job Description




As a Armed Security Officer - DOD Clearance Required in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a high-profile aero and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to security-related incidents with clear communication and strong customer service. You will support access control and report activity using detailed observations to help reduce risk. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with post orders, including maintaining control of issued equipment and following all applicable use-of-force and reporting requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and local public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, production and office spaces, and the perimeter, using access control points and surveillance systems as applicable to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic logs, and communicate noteworthy conditions to supervision and site representatives per established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • An Texas armed guard card and/or license is required
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
