Job Description




As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Bradenton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer at a residential location, you will support access control by greeting residents, guests, and vendors, verifying credentials, managing entry logs, monitoring cameras and alarms, and conducting routine patrols to help discourage security-related incidents. You will deliver clear, professional customer service while working with your team in a culture that is agile, reliable, innovative, and caring, guided by teamwork and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential community location.
  • Manage access control at community entry points by checking identification, issuing visitor passes and/or credentials, verifying authorization lists, and documenting entries and exits per post orders.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other access control systems; report and document unusual activity, maintenance issues, and policy concerns through required reporting channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of community amenities, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
