Job Description




As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol in DAKOTA CITY, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced food and beverage location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver customer-focused service with integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and assist with employee, contractor, and delivery driver entry processes in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and providing clear directions as needed.
  • Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and support shift handoff with accurate information.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
