Job Description




As a Security Officer - Patrol HS Diploma Required in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to security-related concerns with calm professionalism and strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter gates, with working conditions varying by assignment.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or credentials as directed, and directing visitors to appropriate locations in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete routine activity reports, incident documentation, and shift pass-downs, and communicate promptly with site representatives and/or emergency services when required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Baton certification preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification preferred.
  • CPR certification preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
