Position Title: Job Category: Employment Type: Job Profile: Job Duties: Maintenance Mechanic This positionis responsible fordaily operation, maintenance and repair of assigned Dining and Centers buildings including food service equipment repair, custodial equipment repair, preventative maintenance, building maintenance, inspections, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry repairs.This position will interact with students, faculty, dining,facilitiesand other campus staff.This position isrequiredto follow safe work practices, follow industry standards for maintenance/repairs, have goodcommunicationand practiceaccuraterecord keeping skills.This position willservice,Price Commons, North Point dining and William's Stadium concession areas.This position will back up Memorial Student Center.Employee shift is 7: 00am - 3: 30 pm, Monday through Friday with occasional overtime as directed.This position will berequiredto respond to a 24-hour maintenance phone on a rotation with other staff. Key Job Responsibilities:
Department: Facilities Management iscomprisedof Building Maintenance and Grounds, Custodial Services, Heating Plant, Administration, and Facilities Planning and Engineering.The campus iscomprisedof2.4 million square feeton approximately135 acresincluding 55 buildings of which 22 are academic/research, 12 support services and 21 for university housing.The campus has its own utilities of steam, chilled water,dataand electricity. Compensation: Minimum starting salary of$24/hour.A six-month probationary period is required.
