Responsibilities

Cloud & Systems Administrator

Massillon, OH (Hybrid Schedule)

The Cloud & Systems Administrator manages, secures, and ensures the stability of enterprise systems spanning Microsoft Azure cloud and on-premises VMware infrastructure. The role oversees core platforms such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware, Windows Server, SQL databases, file and print services, and disaster recovery. Operating in a hybrid environment, this position also participates in a 24O7 on-call rotation.

Your seat at the table:

  • Administer and secure Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NTFS, and Group Policy.
  • Manage Azure services (VMs, storage, networks, subscriptions, and RBAC), monitor performance, and optimize costs.
  • Ensure backup and recovery using Azure tools; support secure cloud/on-prem connectivity.
  • Oversee VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)-including provisioning, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with storage and networking to optimize availability and performance.
  • Implement identity integration, security controls, vulnerability remediation, and compliance.
  • Automate tasks and improve efficiency with PowerShell and scripting; maintain monitoring and logging.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 incident support and participate in on-call rotation; respond to outages and escalations.
  • Prepare and update documentation, runbooks, and procedures, support design reviews and technical training.

Qualifications

What you bring to the table:

  • Strong experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Bachelors in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-7+ years in Azure and/or VMware administration in enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on skills in hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with Azure, VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter, Windows/Linux systems.
  • Solid networking knowledge (DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs).
  • Scripting/automation expertise (PowerShell preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ 104), VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
  • Experience with hybrid identity, backup/disaster recovery solutions, and infrastructure modernization.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
  • Calm, methodical approach during outages or incidents.
  • Ability to work independently in complex environments.
  • Clear communication skills and a detail-oriented, security-focused mindset.
