Compliance Manager - Regulatory CoE Job ID: 106047 Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges-the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day?
If this sounds like you, you've come to the right place.
Your Impact
You will be based in the United States of America or Canada as part of our Ethics & Compliance (E&C) team. The E&C function's mission is to manage risks to our firm, our clients, and our people, while also enabling our firm's client impact and innovation.
The E&C function is a globally integrated team within the second line of defense of our firm. McKinsey has an E&C program that is structured in a way that ensures that it is well designed, empowered to function effectively, and works in practice. Our E&C program includes a clear message that misconduct is not tolerated as well as policies, procedures, training, monitoring and consequence management to ensure the program is well-integrated into our firm's operations and workforce. This opportunity works in the global firm practices pillar, which is responsible for instilling trust that our firm serves clients and communities with integrity and adheres to regulatory requirements.
As the Compliance Manager in the Regulatory Center of Excellence (CoE), you will lead the day-to-day activities for our firm's global sanctions and regulatory screening program to ensure our firm adheres to all relevant regulatory requirements. As a data-driven Compliance Manager you will lead the design, optimization, and governance of regulatory screening across the firm. You will play a critical role in managing and further scaling our firm's regulatory process from a global perspective.
You will take a collaborative and multi-faceted approach in driving the execution of day-to-day activities as well as process improvements, and operational model enhancements for the CoE. Your role will involve working across various areas of our regulatory program, including collaborating with external regulatory information providers, leveraging data sources, enhancing technology, and supporting the deployment of advanced analytics. Additionally, you will oversee the regulatory screening system configuration, ensuring that our systems are up-to-date and effective.
You will assist in enhancing and scaling the way our firm reviews and monitors clients and third parties to identify and address regulatory and reputational risks, contributing to a comprehensive perspective on risk exposure.
You will support the evolution of how regulatory checks are performed on new and existing clients and higher-risk third parties. This includes helping to refine our approach to risk ratings and prioritization criteria, maintaining relevant data, and informing our overall risk posture to ensure appropriate actions are taken to address risk findings.
As a member of the Client and Regulatory Compliance team and E&C function, you will be expected to be a contributor and thought partner within the function, in addition to managing key organizational, operational, or strategic initiatives, as relevant.
You will be required to engage in regionally focused initiatives, such as infusing our integrity agenda, under the direction and coordination of our regional E&C leaders, the purpose of which is to raise awareness of and further our firm's E&C program, and other agreed-upon supporting activities in your region or location.
Collaboration is a key aspect of this role. You will collaborate with a cross-functional and senior stakeholder group (e.g., Legal, Risk) across our firm in a timely and efficient manner.
Additionally, you will lead a high-impact team to deliver against priorities, supporting their growth and development needs through processes such as review, recruitment, and coaching.
Finally, you will play a critical role in sustaining and evolving our E&C program and upholding our commitment to integrity and lawful practices. Your Growth
You are someone who thrives in a high-performance environment, bringing a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit to tackle meaningful challenges that have a real impact.
In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to help you quickly broaden your expertise, grow into a well-rounded professional, and contribute to work that truly makes a difference.
