Description The Senior Analyst role is responsible for performing a variety of tax and treasury related activities that support financial compliance requirements for the company. This role reports to Finance Director of Tax and Treasury, with high visibility to Executive Leadership, Company Shareholders, and the Board of Directors. This role is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated analyst who seeks to make a meaningful impact in the core financial areas of tax and treasury for the business but also develop experience with more complex and nuanced strategic finance initiatives unique to a private, ESOP manufacturing company. Requirements Essential Job Functions Demonstrates SoundOff Signal's Core Values in daily interactions with internal and external customers Indirect tax management: Sales and Use tax returns, VAT, and as needed, handling related tax audit and audit defense documentation Leads activities related to compliance with 1099 Annual Filing, State nexus reporting, Resale Certificates with customers Support Corporate tax requirements including the preparation, review, and filing of multi-state and international tax filings as well as R&D Credits and other relevant tax credit/tax law changes Misc. Tax: support additional tax related activities for property tax and other matters as identified Manages corporate entity statutory filings and business registration at appropriate state or local levels including updates to entity Directors and Officers to maintain compliance Supports Director Finance with management, administration and oversight of the company's KSOP plan (401(k), ESOP) including financial calculations related to the KSOP and data preparation for third-party administrators and auditors Prepares forecasts and modeling of quarterly shareholder distributions using latest financial forecasts and inputs from the business Prepares and maintains Capital Expenditure transaction tracking and support; partners with FP&A team on CapEx approved budget and regular reporting updates Prepares actual and forecasted debt financial covenant calculations and other required financial reporting materials for the company's banking partners Assists Director of Finance and CFO with preparation of Board Finance Committee and Board of Director reporting materials Supports preparation of regular shareholder communications Assists with preparation of the annual independent company valuation Ownership for various asset, liability, and expense general ledger accounts related to tax and treasury transactions, with responsibilities including, but not limited to: Balance verification, analysis of accounts, preparation and posting of journal entries Analyzes financial reporting for management as needed Able to perform job consistently and without excessive absenteeism or tardiness Other duties as assigned Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 5+ years related experience CMA or CPA preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel experience Demonstrated knowledge/experience with accounting and GAAP Demonstrated knowledge/experience with sales and use tax filing, and management of Avalara Tax Software Proven analytical ability Strong attention to detail Self-initiator, team player, effective communicator, with a customer focus Proficient in all Microsoft Office software ERP Software beneficial Working Conditions Mostly office environment, occasional light manufacturing environment Fast-paced, team-oriented environment Low noise level in a temperature-controlled setting Some level of domestic and/or international travel may be required May work remotely Mostly normal business hours with occasional need to flex hours | |
