POSITION SUMMARY: Performs diagnostic, habilitative, and rehabilitative services related to the Auditory and Vestibular systems on both adults and children. Essential Functions * Determine appropriate test type, procedure, and length of evaluation * Analyze findings and make appropriate recommendations * Determine appropriate referrals * Determine appropriate follow-up * Determine appropriate habilitative or rehabilitative strategies * Audiometers experience * Immittance bridges experience * Auditory Brainstem Response equipment * Videonystagmography / Electronystagmography equipment experience * Otoacoustic Emission equipment experience * Otoscopes experience * Proficiency in Montefiore's current electronic medical record system, EPIC, and working knowledge of EMR and EPF. EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: * Doctor of Audiology ( Au.D.) as of 2007 * NYS Licensure in Audiology * NYS Hearing Aid Dispensers License * Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC/A) Note: Audiologists graduating prior to 2007 need to have a Master's Degree in Audiology, along with NYS Licensure in Audiology as well as a NYS Hearing Aid Dispensers License, and CCC/A.
