Position Summary This strategic role is responsible for delivering the best total cost, delivery, and solutions within the global supplier network. It involves developing and executing project-specific sourcing strategies, managing global suppliers, and driving cost savings through negotiations, supplier development, and standardized purchasing practices. A key focus is on tariff mitigation and supply chain risk management, partnering with Cross-Functional teams to model, mitigate, and incorporate tariff impacts into sourcing and product design decisions. The role supports business growth through process improvement, cost reduction, and supplier collaboration across regions. Work You'll Do Strategic Sourcing & Project Management
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for complex projects, spare parts, and new supplier onboarding. Lead end-to-end Source-to-Contract (S2C) processes including supplier qualification, bidding, negotiations, and contracting. Support make/buy decisions with engineering teams on design-for-cost and tariff mitigation initiatives. Improve S2C workflows for efficiency and standardization.
Supplier & Performance Management
Manage global supplier relationships, ensuring regional alignment and performance. Collaborate with suppliers for BOM validation, cost reduction, and supplier development activities. Drive supplier performance improvement initiatives.
Cost & Margin Optimization
Achieve productivity and margin improvements through strategic bundling, volume leverage, and standardized SKUs. Transition parts to repeatable purchases using frame agreements and reference pricing. Provide accurate project quotes, ensuring cost, quality, and delivery targets are met.
Tariff & Trade Risk Management
Develop and implement global tariff mitigation strategies. Analyze tariff exposure by product, component, and trade lane. Partner with Trade Compliance for classification accuracy and regulatory adherence. Monitor trade policy changes and assess their financial impact. Maintain detailed, costed BOMs to identify tariff drivers and calculate landed costs. Support sourcing and engineering in design-for-cost activities that mitigate tariffs.
Data & Reporting
Build dashboards to visualize tariff exposure, savings, and risks. Prepare executive reports on impact analysis, mitigation progress, and risk management.
Governance & Continuous Improvement
Standardize processes for tariff analysis, BOM costing, and trade compliance. Lead initiatives to enhance cost transparency, process efficiency, and compliance. Support audits and internal controls related to tariffs and procurement costs.
Cross-Functional & Supplier Collaboration
Share tariff and cost insights with Category Managers and other stakeholders. Engage suppliers in validating BOM data and finding cost reduction opportunities. Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, and Operations for aligned decision-making.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a comparable field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in global sourcing, category management, or cost engineering. Expertise in BOM analysis, landed cost modeling, and tariff mitigation. Familiarity with HTS classification, duties, country-of-origin rules, and trade policies. Proven success in process harmonization and establishing scalable global standards. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across regions and cultures. Ability to exercise judgment, solve problems, and lead change initiatives. Technical understanding of products, market dynamics, and supply chain.
Preferred Qualifications
Engineering background or experience. Familiarity with MRP tools, cost analytics, and trade compliance systems. Procurement or supply chain certifications such as APICS. Self-starter with an innovative mindset. In-plant procurement experience. Advanced data analysis and trade management expertise.
