YOUR ROLE:

As an Supply Chain Analyst - Configuration management you will focused on mitigating supply surety risk due to supplier-induced changes, this role will support cross-enterprise institutionalization of process related to the ongoing supply management of components and materials affected by Supplier Change Requests (SCR) and End Of Life (EOL) notices. The Supply Chain Analyst - Configuration Management leads and manages the corporate supply chain activities, which include the tracking and cross-functional management related to configuration management. This individual will be responsible to drive accountability across current configuration management processes while also working with multiple functions to identify and institute improvement opportunities across this function, while maintaining high service levels and tight timing for milestone due dates and the additional activities outlined below.

This position works closely with Global Supply Managers & Hardware Engineering Managers, as well as many other competencies including Sales, Product Management, Program Management, Operations, Quality, Information Technology, and Category Management teams.

In your daily job you will:

  • Manage and report out KPI's related to Supplier Change Requests (SCR) and supplier-induced End Of Life (EOL) activities, with special focus on maintaining Aptiv supply surety until the SCR or EOL activity is completed.

  • Monitor, review and drive supplier quality performance from incidents to structural improvement

  • Collaborate with other functions to ensure consistent report out of KPI's related to supplier compliance to applicable industry standards around SCR and EOL management (notice period, frequency, etc.)

  • Lead and manage SCR / EOL process training efforts across the enterprise.

  • Support clear and timely communication to assist in the achievement of desired outcomes inside and outside of Aptiv.

  • Identify and implement departmental process improvements.

  • Manage, nurture and strengthen internal and supplier relationships.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

  • Bachelors degree required either in Engineering or equivalent Supply Chain degree

  • 3 to 5 years of industry work experience required.

  • Excellent communication skills cross-competency & across hierarchies required

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Experience with Automotive OEM or Automotive component manufacturer

  • Experience with ERP systems (ie, SAP)

  • Ability to leverage findings and best practices to drive continuous improvement across Aptiv SCR / EOL management process

  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to adapt style to achieve most successful outcome.

  • Must be highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and initiatives simultaneously.

NICE TO HAVES

  • Project or Program Management experience required, certification in Project Management preferred

  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP & change management is preferred

Salary: $90,000- $100,000
