What work will you perform?


In this role, you will serve as a key LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) subject matter expert focused on driving revenue growth, expanding market awareness, and strengthening carrier and customer partnerships. This role provides strategic pricing support, training, and solution development to internal and external stakeholders. By analyzing transportation data, managing RFQs/RFPs, and leveraging deep knowledge of LTL operations and tariff structures, you will help identify growth opportunities, enhance competitive positioning, and support successful customer implementations. The position acts as a liaison between carriers, agents, and customers to ensure service excellence and long-term business development.


Essential Responsibilities:



  • Identify revenue & growth opportunities by analyzing customer transportation profiles and pricing data
  • Leverage working knowledge of LTL pricing, operations, and tariff structures to support sales and solution development
  • Manage LTL Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and Proposals (RFPs) by collecting customer requirements, requesting pricing from LTL carriers, evaluating responses, and contributing to competitive/awarded proposals
  • Conduct carrier comparisons and pricing analyses to support sourcing strategies and customer retention efforts
  • Support customer implementations and carrier onboarding to ensure service expectations and requirements are met
  • Provide best practices, guidance, and education to agents and customers on LTL pricing, services, operations, and processes
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to LTL
  • Act as a liaison between LTL carriers, agents, and customers, escalating issues to management as appropriate


  • Manage multiple assigned tasks and projects while adapting to changing priorities
  • Travel as needed to support customer, Landstar Agent, or carrier meetings
  • Perform additional duties related to business development and pricing support, as assigned


Required Minimum Experience and Education:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 2 years LTL related experience in the transportation/logistics industry


Preferred Experience and Education:



  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
