This position on the Endowment team within Finance & Budget - Treasury performs a broad scope of professional accounting activities involving experience, professional knowledge, and application of accounting principles and practices. They perform a wide range of accounting and analysis functions pertaining to the assigned fund area, accounts, or departments. They assure day-to-day operations are carried out in accordance with established accounting principles, policies, and objectives. This position can work independently with guidance from senior staff, and exercises professional judgment within the assigned function, with work being reviewed by supervisor.

| Duties & Responsibilities |
- Prepare, interpret, review, and approve Endowment transactions within University enterprise systems.
- Apply University policies pertaining to endowment associated accounts.
- Advise department personnel on University financial policies and procedures relating to endowment accounts.
- Participate in complex weekly and monthly reconciliations of the endowment accounts.
- Participate in year-end closing of the financial statements including data gathering, journal entry creation, and report creation.
- Assist in preparation of variances for sections of the financial statements associated with Treasury.
- Assist with preparation of endowment sections of surveys to external parties including state agencies, federal agencies, and rating agencies.
- Assist with special projects and requests from the executive team.
- Assist with testing and maintaining internal controls; makes recommendations to management.
- Perform other duties within the scope of the Treasury team as assigned.

- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with others.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and with a team.
- Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
- 1 year of relevant work experience is required.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
