  • Level 2: Estimated annual base pay: $24.52 (minimum) - $31.73 (midpoint) - $39.42 (maximum) Plus shift differential and overtime

  • Level 3: Estimated annual base pay: $28.85 (minimum) - $37.50 (midpoint) - $46.15 (maximum) Plus shift differential and overtime

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Machine Repair Technician, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Woodward is hiring a skilled and motivated repair technician to join our team. This position is located at our Loves Park Campus on N. 2nd Street and will be working on AWS 1st shift (Fri-Sun 3am-3:30pm) and may need to be on call at times. Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose Machine Issues: Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems in machinery to determine appropriate corrective actions.

  • Perform Repairs and Maintenance: Execute regular and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure optimal machine performance and minimize downtime.

  • Document Maintenance Activities: Accurately record all repair and maintenance actions in the maintenance management system for tracking and compliance.

  • Collaborate with Team Members: Communicate effectively with other technicians and departments to coordinate repair activities and share technical information.

  • Ensure Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations while performing repair and maintenance tasks to maintain a safe work environment.

Key Skills:

  • Mechanical Electrical Troubleshooting: Proficient in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical systems in machinery.

  • Preventative Maintenance: Skilled in performing routine maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance and minimize downtime.

  • Technical Documentation: Expertise in maintaining accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment logs.

  • Equipment Calibration: Ability to calibrate machinery to specifications, ensuring precision and functionality.

  • Safety Compliance: Knowledgeable in adhering to safety protocols and regulations during machine repair and maintenance.

  • Diagnostic Software Proficiency: Experienced in using diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve machine issues.

  • Quality Control: Ensures all repairs meet quality standards and contribute to the overall quality of team output.

  • Time Management: Effective in managing workload and prioritizing tasks to complete assignments within deadlines.

  • Communication: Capable of conveying complex technical information clearly within the team.

  • Team Collaboration: Works effectively with team members to achieve common objectives and integrate repair activities seamlessly.

Successful candidates typically have:

Level 2:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

  • Associates degree in electronics, mechanical or industrial discipline is preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial, mechanical or electrical manufacturing role OR 3 years of experience in a machine repair technician role highly desired

Level 3:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

  • Associates degree in electronics, mechanical or industrial discipline is preferred

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in an industrial, mechanical or electrical manufacturing role OR 5 years of experience in a machine repair technician role highly desired
