The Learning & Organizational Development Intern at Woodward will work closely with our Sr. Learning Coordinator and dedicate their time to gaining a full understanding of the L&OD function. Throughout the internship, they will rotate across several essential areas within the department, including developing and implementing core, targeted, and accelerated talent initiatives.

This immersive experience provides hands-on involvement in designing, delivering, and evaluating learning solutions that foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. Communication and coordination are central to this role; the intern will regularly interact with team members, support the scheduling and facilitation of learning events, and help ensure that resources and information are delivered accurately and on time.

Through these experiences, the intern will sharpen their communication, project management, and teamwork skills, all while contributing to the growth and effectiveness of the department. This role is ideal for candidates who want to build a foundation for a career that positively impacts people, culture, and organizational success.

The purpose of an internship at Woodward is to provide students with the opportunity to gain exposure and "real life" business acumen within the Aerospace and Energy Industry.Our internships also provide students with the opportunity to learn and gain practical experience and to work in areas related to their academic and/or career interests.Gain hands-on experience while working on challenging projects, network with professionals and learn from some of the brightest minds in business.

The experience also gives the intern opportunity for potential full-time employment with the company.

What you will be doing:

  • Assist the Sr. Learning Coordinator by supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of learning events and development programs.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and business partners to ensure resources and information are shared accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Support core, targeted, and accelerated talent initiatives to gain exposure to major facets of the L&OD function.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of talent programs by partnering with our Talent Development and Learning members.

What We Are Looking For

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Competent skills in problem solving and trouble-shooting.

  • Competent in the use of PCs, MS Office Programs and other associated software.

  • Ability to effectively operate in a team environment.

  • Effective time management skills.

  • Solid knowledge of the English language with the ability to speak, read and write along with good listening skills.

  • Good marks in relevant subjects.

  • Possess high motivation, flexibility and ability to work on his/her own.

Education or Formal Training

Must be at least a sophomore in an accredited College or University program and have an acceptable grade point average.

Experience Required

No experience required. Previous internship or other working experience, a plus.
