AMSOIL is currently seeking a Process Engineer Intern for the Summer of 2026.



Basic Functions/job summary:


The Process Engineer Intern will be responsible for assisting in the design and optimization of our production process to ensure equipment reliability and continuous improvement. This role will use a systematic approach to solving problems and driving improvements in our manufacturing process and related systems to identify waste and implement countermeasures to drive waste reduction.



Examples of Work Performed / Essential Functions:



  • Accountable for knowing the manufacturing process:


    • Process Control.
    • Blending and packaging equipment.
    • Recommending preventive maintenance, predictive activities and upgrade assessments.
    • Troubleshoot performance issues.




  • Responsible for the equipment related uptime performance of the AMSOIL INC. manufacturing process:




    • Downtime tracking.
    • Report generation.




  • Work with other departments for optimizing strategy development and implementation:
  • Expand and optimize the automation of the AMSOIL INC. manufacturing process to include a HMI system for monitoring system performance.
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout Operations.
  • Assist in project management for assigned projects related to AMSOIL INC. facilities, equipment and new installs:
  • Assist in developing and managing process safeguards to insure AMSOIL INC. quality is never compromised and mistake proofing is maximized.
  • Implement PLC programming and interfacing control concepts into a manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure process are designed with safety in mind.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Must be working towards a bachelor's degree.
  • Must have completed Sophomore year.
  • Available 40 hours/week Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the summer months.
  • Coursework, interest, or foundational understanding in areas such as production management, process safeguards.
  • Interest in working with data to support analysis and decision making.
  • Ability to organize information, document processes, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
