Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an Information Knowledge Management Specialist to work on-site at Camp Smith, HI.

The Information Knowledge Management (IKM) Specialist position is designed to enhance MARFORPAC's ability to manage and optimize IKM processes, tools, and systems. Specialists will be embedded within their respective sections. This position will focus on supporting battle rhythm projects, tasks, and general staff section needs while driving education and adoption of new tools and capabilities. The position will serve as a critical enabler for the division's operational effectiveness by ensuring seamless information exchange, identifying AI use cases, and providing subject matter expertise (SME) in IKM processes.

What you will do:

    Collaborate with staff sections to analyze, refine, and optimize battle rhythm processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate information flows across the division to support decision-making and operational planning.
  • Identify, document, and refine IENs to improve interoperability and communication within the division and across external units.
  • Develop frameworks for tracking and managing IENs to ensure alignment with mission objectives.
  • Familiarize with division workflows to identify potential AI applications that enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to assess feasibility and implement AI-driven solutions.
  • Serve as the division's SME for IKM processes, tools, and systems, providing guidance and training to staff.
  • Develop and deliver educational materials to improve staff proficiency in new tools and capabilities.
  • Act as the primary Information Systems Coordinator (ISC) for the division, directing staff to appropriate resources for resolving IT issues.
  • Liaise with HITS Branch to ensure timely resolution of technical challenges.
  • Implement best practices for data management, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and security protocols.
  • Support the development of governance frameworks for IKM tools and systems.
  • Work closely with other divisions and external units to ensure alignment of IKM processes and tools.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams to enhance organizational learning.


Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • 5 years experience with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years PhD; 7 years with Associate; 9 years with no degree.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 collaboration tools, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Forms.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with technical and non-technical users.
  • Experience recording meeting minutes, managing schedules, and coordinating cross-functional team activities.
  • Ability to understand and track basic technical terminology related to application development and automation.
  • Customer service mindset with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
  • Must possess DoD Top Secret with SCI clearance.
  • U.S Citizenship Required.

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
