The Maintenance Supervisor plans, estimates and schedules preventative and corrective maintenance of plant equipment, machinery, and service systems to increase uptime and minimize unscheduled downtime. This position supervises maintenance, mechanical, and electrical staff and includes planning and scheduling maintenance work responsibilities.



PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:



Establish and assign all daily, weekly, and monthly routine maintenance schedules and coordinate necessary machine downtime with the Production Manager or Superintendent.



Maintain inventory of parts and supplies with a focus on cost control to an established budget.



Schedule work, coordinate production activities, provide direct oversight of employees, approve time records, communicate and implement company policy.Engage in employee development activities, make recommendations on employee hire, promotion and disciplinary action.



Ensure predictive and preventive maintenance programs are accomplished and repairs are completed on a timely basis so that production and profitability objectives are met.



Establish and maintain maintenance budget to recommend capital improvements including assisting the Production Manager in design and installation of new equipment.



Ensure maintenance crew understands and is able to troubleshoot all corrugator jobs and is fully trained on mechanical and electrical repairs, equipment use, adjustments, and unique situations.



Conduct training for production employees in the performance of routine operator level maintenance tasks.



Coordinate preventative maintenance programs.



Maintain a clean, safe and injury-free work environment by ensuring health and safety procedures are understood and executed by all employees.



Participate in production meeting and provide updates as needed.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:



High School Diploma or GED



3-5 years' previous experience in industry.



Ability to work flexible hours as needed.


Previous supervisory experience in coaching, training, teambuilding, performance development, and conflict resolution.



Pipefitting experience.


Must be authorized to work in the U.S.



PREFFERED QUALFICATIONS:



Associate's degree in related field.



Experience with manufacturing safety practices.

Project management experience.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:



Solid analytical, mechanical, and mathematical skills.



Solid working knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance.



Working knowledge of maintenance of corrugated and packaging equipment.



Working knowledge of manufacturing systems including shop floor software.



Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous details, deadlines, and requests.



Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple projects and/or requests concurrently.



Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals throughout the company on departmental procedures, policies, practices, and requests for information.



Strong interpersonal skills to effectively lead and communicate with production team and management.



Previous work experience as a member of a team, or a strong understanding of the importance of open communication and information sharing between team members.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS




  • Starting salary range for position: $96,000-$115,000
  • Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.

  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
