Pot Carrier Operator

Position Overview:

The Pot Carrier will primarily operate the 988f series 2 and other heavy machinery, with a focus on front-end loader operations. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the efficient handling and movement of materials throughout the mill.

This position will be located on site in Reading, PA.

Pay: $30/hr based on experience

Schedule: 10PM - 6AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the front-end loaders to transport materials safely and efficiently.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and regular maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and material handling processes.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding equipment status and job progress.
• Maintain accurate logs of equipment operation and material movements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid heavy equipment operator certification.
• Proven experience operating front-end loaders; experience in a steel mill is preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations in heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
