Histotechnician

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for accurate, correct routine and stat tissue processing including embedment, microtomy, mounting, and staining. Performs routine and special histology including advanced immunocytochemical and histochemical testing. Recognizes procedural, instrument and quality control problems and notifies Charge Histotechnolgist. Follows guidelines to correct problems or errors. Prepares reagents, stains and solutions according to guidelines.

EDUCATION:

Associate Degree in an appropriate science field and Histotechnican (HT ASCP) certification or eligible. Must attain certification within one year of employment.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Experience: none, 1 year in Histology Lab comparable to FAHC preferable.

NOTE: The hours of the position are M-F with a targeted shift of 12:00pm - 8:30 pm

RELOCATION:

We are offering a relocation package of up to $6,00 for eligible candidates relocating more than 120 miles. Additional terms and conditions apply.
