About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to serve as a strategic finance partner to the Sales organization, providing analytical insight and financial rigor to drive revenue growth, efficiency, and predictability. This role will be responsible for revenue forecasting, sales planning, and performance reporting, while supporting go-to-market decision-making through data-driven insights. The analyst will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Revenue Operations, and FP&A to ensure accurate forecasting, disciplined spend management, and overall alignment between sales strategy and financial outcomes.

This position is hybrid (3 days per week in office) and is located inAustin, TX.

About the team

Auctane's Finance team is responsible for driving key strategic initiatives, generating insights into business performance, and leading financial decisions across the Company. We partner with Senior Management and business unit leaders by providing effective decision-making support to drive long-term business performance.

What will you be doing?



  • Revenue Forecasting & Budgeting


    • Develop and maintain short and long-term revenue forecasts by channel, product, and customer segment.
    • Support annual and quarterly sales budgeting and forecasting processes.
    • Analyze variances between forecast, budget, and actual results, identifying risks and opportunities.


  • Pipeline Management & Sales Performance Analysis


    • Partner with Sales and RevOps to assess pipeline health, conversion rates, deal velocity, and coverage ratios.
    • Monitor leading indicators to improve forecast accuracy and revenue predictability.
    • Provide insights on pipeline gaps and required actions to achieve revenue targets.


  • Quota & Capacity Planning


    • Design and maintain quota allocation and sales capacity models aligned with company growth objectives.
    • Evaluate territory design, headcount productivity, ramp curves, and attainment trends.
    • Support scenario modeling for hiring plans and go-to-market changes.


  • Sales Spend & ROI Management


    • Track and analyze sales-related expenditures including commissions, incentives, discounts, and enablement costs.
    • Assess return on investment for sales programs, promotions, and incentive plans.
    • Ensure spend aligns with budget and delivers targeted revenue outcomes.


  • Sales Reporting & Executive Insights


    • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting packages for sales leadership and executive stakeholders.
    • Deliver clear, actionable insights on performance, trends, and risks.
    • Support monthly and quarterly business reviews with data-driven narratives.


  • Cross-Functional Partnership & Process Improvement


    • Act as a trusted advisor to Sales leadership, balancing growth objectives with financial discipline.
    • Improve forecasting methodologies, reporting accuracy, and planning processes.
    • Support scalable finance and sales operations as the eCommerce business grows.



What are we looking for?



  • 5-7 years of work experience in Finance, Business Operations, Revenue Operations, or similar roles
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Proficient with SQL or exposure (Looker, Redash, etc.) and desire to learn
  • Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP) (preferably Netsuite)
  • Excellent analytical skills, a proactive communicator and self-starter
  • Ability to present financial data using reports and charts and communicate results clearly
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Agile, flexible, and responsive approach to work


What will make you stand out?



  • Experience serving as a Senior Financial Analyst supporting GTM or Sales organizations, with a strong understanding of revenue drivers, pipeline dynamics, and sales productivity metrics.
  • A track record of building trusted partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders, including close collaboration with the CRO, CFO, RevOps, etc
  • Experience leading core operating cadences such as pipeline reviews, forecasting processes, and executive dashboards, not just contributing analysis but driving the process end-to-end
  • Ability to build scalable forecasting models, reporting frameworks, or planning processes from the ground up, particularly in fast-growing or evolving environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without authority, challenge assumptions constructively, and build credibility across the org
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and bringing structure to complex or evolving go-to-market motions.
